Under the Weather

Do you know that the expression under the weather means feeling ill?

A spell of heat rising sharply,
At whatever time I try to flee.
So, I opted not to resist,
To keep still is quite an ease!
Half dreaming, half the pain,
My breath was left in vain.
In awakening hours laid,
Better drop and shut my gape.
For it’s easy when I die away,
No whine, no pain, no cry!
Just asleep…..sssshhhhhh
I made this poem on June 25, 2009 when I was working for a company which was nearing bankruptcy at that time.  While biding my  time to apply for another job, I made poems. I submitted it to poemhunter.com and surprisingly, somebody made a daily motion video of my poem here: Daily Motion Video
