This poem is inspired by an advocacy of building a place with a balanced softscape and hardscape. I call it an advocacy poem. I tried to research about this genre of poetry. There are emerging sites now that feature this kind of poetry, however, it is not that established yet as a genre since you will hardly find details about it yet.
Imagine this Brilliant
by ABQ
Imagine me sitting blithely on a couch,
between rows of plants and trees amid skyscrapers and busy streets,
in a king’s garden on one side of the earth,
atmospheric, where favored people live well,
and
imagine yourself walking the endless pathways,
of the well-sketched urban buildings in a muggy city,
with your legs cramping, telling you to look for the nearest rest stop,
but like a mouse, you hide from the power vested in the cops,
when you want to cross over and walk the other side or sit on a bench,
for the city did not allot spaces for a non-executive that you are.
Besides,
imagine a brilliant geek, preoccupied with a possible transformation or deviation
of the entire town seeking for parity of all sorts, with high hopes
that conscience will strike the mind of the false rulers (the luxuriant), who dress to kill
while the overly brilliant geeks of his kind work their way
to give off their wit to the discouraged, yielding a space for the displaced, clothing the bare,
for the gift bestowed upon the geeks must be a gift to the entire land.
Because
the brilliant brings forth peace and harmony day and night.
The brilliant makes a sluggish day alive for all.
The brilliant gives a fraction or even a whole of what he got.
Imagine you are this brilliant! You are the gates to the marvelous land.
I can imagine you are!
