Synopsis:
While overcoming the torment Shiri was undergoing from her grandmother’s death, she was mystified with her lucid dream experience. After reading one of her husband’s books about dreaming, she found out that Gennadius (a former Roman Physician who was doubtful of the existence of life after death) had the same dream with her. Both of them had a vision of a place with an exquisite melody they haven’t heard of. Both of them heard someone said, “That was the hymn of the blessed and the holy.”
Shiri found out from the characters in her dream that the bizarre place for them is Purgatory. As Shiri was questioning life after death, selflessness vs. abuse and family orientedness in western vis-a-vis eastern countries, she was brought to a bizarre place where she was the only one who was conscious of her actions.
Everything there was exhilarating! There were banquets and performances for everyone. Most of the characters seemed to be in ecstasy, forgetting who they were and what’s ahead of them. She was the only one who wanted to go home. Since she didn’t have any clues about the place, she tried to wander around. She saw empty houses at the back of a garden leading to the most serene forest she has ever been. In the midst of her journey, she noticed a scratch on her left hand. Her instinct told her to pick some ferns in the mossy forest. Surprisingly, after picking and munching on them, the scratch miraculously healed.
Amazed and at the same time frightened, Shiri decided to find her way home, but as she was looking around, three pirate like soldiers brought her to one of the empty houses, asking her if she picked any ferns. Shiri didn’t have a clue of what the ferns are for so she lied about picking them. Unknown to her, to awaken her consciousness in her dream, the ferns would help her a lot. They were the answers to the hidden facts she was seeking for. She awoke wanting to find out the mystery of lucid dreaming.
She was so eager to solve the mystery behind her lucid dream and its connection in the real world. Until she became successful in controlling herself in her dreams and unfolding the power of lucid dreaming. However, inthe most vivid dream she had, she had a trouble coming back to reality or coming back to life.
